Elisabetta Iossa is Full Professor of Economics at the University of Rome Tor Vergata, Research Fellow at the Center for European Policy Research (C.E.P.R.) in London and at GREEN-Bocconi in Milan, and Coordinator of the M.Sc. in European Economy and Business Law. After her PhD she held a Marie-Curie Post-Doc position at ECARES, ULB in Brussels and subsequently become Lecturer and then Full Professor at Brunel University in West London. She has been Visiting Scholar at Bristol University, Harvard, Toulouse School of Economics and Università Cattolica of Milan.
Her research focuses on public procurement, public-private partnerships, market regulation and public service provision. She has advised international institutions such as UK Competition Commission, European Commission, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, U.K. Financial Service Authority, O.E.C.D., Office of Fair Trading, IFAD-United Nations, Inter-American Development Bank, World Bank.
Her publications have appeared in: Games and Economic Behavior (2015), Economic Journal (1998), Journal of the European Economic Association (2014), International Journal of Industrial Organization (2002, 2015), Journal of Industrial Economics (1999), Journal of Law, Economics and Organization (2020), Journal of Public Administration Research and Theory (2011), Journal of Public Economics (2006), Rand Journal of Economics (2004, 2012, 2012), among others.
